Scholarship

The Dr. Joakim Peter Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy and memory of the late Dr. Joakim “Jojo” Peter, one of the cofounders of WAO.

Founded by a group of Jojo’s friends and colleagues  and sponsored by WAO, the scholarship funds an undergraduate and graduate student in college. We seek applicants who exemplify the life and values of Dr. Joakim Peter in resiliency, hard work, leadership, dedication to social justice, and commitment to advocating for the well-being of the COFA community.  A+Jojo Scholars should have a proven commitment to community service, advocacy, and human rights issues.  You may demonstrate this by sharing your past and current work or by sharing your future hopes and dreams on the application form essay.
